The Main Police Department of Cherkasy Oblast has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the beating of clergy and believers at the UOC convent in Cherkasy, as stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko, in response to MP Artem Dmytruk's parliamentary inquiry. Dmytruk shared this information on his Telegram channel.

Additionally, an internal investigation has been launched against the police officers involved in the conflict.

"Another seizure of the UOC temple has resulted in criminal cases against raiders and an official investigation against law enforcement officers," wrote Dmytruk.

According to the deputy, "active servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) participated in the beating of believers." He promised to provide details later.

"We are already working to precisely identify everyone who carried out a brutal attack on monks, laymen, and clergy of the UOC," stated the MP.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that a new video depicting the beating of people in the UOC Convent of the Nativity of the Theotokos in Cherkasy had surfaced online.
