MP Artem Dmytruk brought the monks and believers of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, who are still living and praying in buildings 57 and 58 of the monastery, medicines and food, reports one of the participants of the meeting.

The believers told the deputy about their daily life. According to them, the police had forbidden them to hand over even food until a scandalous incident occurred between Archimandrite Varnava and a policeman who rudely pushed him and took away a bag of food.

They said that after the incident was made public, the attitude of the police became better. The believers are determined to defend the Lavra to the end.

As earlier reported, a policeman pushed a Lavra monk who was being delivered food.
