On 16 March, in Vyshneve, Kyiv region, parishioners of the Church of the Ascension and the Church of the Icon of the Recovery of the Lost unanimously reaffirmed their loyalty to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church led by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, a UOJ correspondent reports. 150 people voted in total.
While the Orthodox communities of the churches were praying in the church, supporters of the OCU collected signatures on their behalf for the transfer of two churches to Dumenko's structure near the city council. These illegal gatherings were led by the former assistant of the traitor to Ukraine Kiva, Serhiy Voznyi, who has already transferred a dozen churches in the Kyiv region. Voznyi and other activists from the OCU managed to collect 50 signatures from the townspeople. The activist reported on his work on his Facebook page: "I will not stop repeating that great events are taking place now that affect the course of the history of our state!" he wrote.
Today, Orthodox social media have reported that the community of the Church of the Ascension and the community of the Church of the Icon of the Seeking of the Lost are threatened with a raider seizure of their shrines. The parishioners of the UOC intend to defend their churches in a legal way.
As the UOJ reported, a group of raiders from the OCU wearing balaclavas broke into the St George's Church of the UOC in Kotsiubynske, Kyiv region, right during the service and seized it.
