The parish of the Kyiv Eparchy of the OCU in Kniazhychi village, Kyiv region, is requesting the National Museum of Ukrainian History to transfer to them the remnants of the Tithe (Desiatynna) Church of the UOC after its dismantling. The Dozor_kozak1 Telegram channel published the correspondence between the OCU parish and the National Museum.

"Our religious community – the parish of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, has been holding services for the fifth year in an adapted premises of an old rural shop. During this time, by the decision of the session of the Brovary district council, a land plot was allocated to us for the construction of a temple. However, due to the ongoing war in the country, full-fledged construction of a new temple is not timely. We ask you to provide permission to transport to our land plot in the village of Kniazhychi the dismantled parts, fragments of the temple structure that are to be demolished, from the museum's territory," the appeal says.

In response, the National Museum stated that they do not have the right to dispose of this property but, in the event of such a scenario, they will not object.

"It is obvious that a contract has already been concluded between the supporters of the OCU from Kniazhychi and LLC 'Smile Construction' regarding the proper 'disposal' of the remnants of the UOC temple," journalists commented.

As the UOJ wrote, the Tithe Church in Kyiv is threatened with demolition during Bright Week.
