The Chernivtsi-Bukovyna and Mukachevo Eparchies thanked the Romanian Orthodox Church for the Holy Fire from Jerusalem, which its representatives handed over to the clergy of the UOC.
On their Facebook page, Orthodox Bukovynians published a video of the meeting of the clergy of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy of the UOC in Suceava (Romania) with Romanian priests.
"An hour after the meeting, the Holy Fire from the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Jerusalem arrived in the cities of Chernivtsi and Storozhynets," the message says.
Metropolitan of Mukachevo Feodor reported that Transcarpathia had also received the Holy Fire from the Romanian Orthodox Church.
"We sincerely thank Archpriest John Vash for delivering the sanctity," the UOC hierarch wrote on his Facebook page.
As reported by the UOJ, on the evening of May 4, the Holy Fire was brought from Jerusalem to Ukraine. The Fire was delivered by pilgrims who attended the service at the Church of the Resurrection of the Lord in Jerusalem. In Ukraine, they were met by the clergy of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
