On May 8, 2024, the Solomiansky Court of Kyiv once again sent journalists from the UOJ to Lukyanivska Prison SIZO.
The court decided to extend the detention of Ukrainian journalists Valeriy Stupnytskyi, Volodymyr Bobechko, and Andriy Ovcharenko for another two months.
The journalists will be held in Lukyanivska Prison in Kyiv without the right to post bail.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that on April 8 and 9, 2024, the appellate court considered complaints regarding the detention of Orthodox journalists Valeriy Stupnitsky and Andriy Ovcharenko respectively. Both requests for a change in the measure of restraint were rejected by the court, which left the journalists in pre-trial detention.
