On September 5, the UOC Chancellor, Metropolitan Anthony of Boryspil and Brovary, on behalf of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, congratulated Metropolitan Joanikije on his enthronement and presented the new Metropolitan with a bishop's сrosier, and Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets – a copy of the Pochaiv miraculous icon of the Mother of God, reports news.church.ua.
The guests from the Local Orthodox Churches also congratulated Metropolitan Joanikije on his enthronement.
The rite of the enthronement of the newly elected Metropolitan Joanikije was headed by His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia, concelebrated by the newly elected Metropolitan Joanikije of Montenegro and the Littoral, a member of the Holy Synod of the SOC, Bishop David (Perovic) of Krushevak, clerics, and monks of the monastery.
As reported, the enthronement of Metropolitan Joanikije took place at the Cetinje Monastery.
