Delegation of UOC meets with Primate of Albanian Orthodox Church

On September 6, 2021, the delegation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church met with the Primate of the Albanian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Anastasios, Archbishop of Tirana and All Albania, reports Metropolitan Anthony (Pakanich) of Boryspil and Brovary, the head of the delegation, on his Facebook page.
The meeting with the Primate of the Albanian Church was attended by Metropolitan Sergiy of Ternopil and Kremenets, Deputy Head of the Department for External Church Relations of the UOC, Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich, a monk of the Holy Spiritual Skete of the Pochaev Lavra, Archimandrite Germogen (Melnik), an employee of the UOC DECR Fr. Vasily.
Together with Archbishop Anastasios, the delegation of the UOC was greeted by Metropolitan Anthony of Elbasan, Metropolitan Nathanael of Amantia and Bishop Astios of Vilida.
At the beginning of the meeting, Metropolitan Anthony presented His Beatitude Anastasios with the translation of his book “Mission in the Footsteps of Christ”, which was done this year by the efforts of the Kyiv Theological Academy.
The meeting participants discussed current topics of church life. According to representatives of the Ukrainian delegation, it was a fraternal conversation in a warm atmosphere.
In Tirana, the delegation of the UOC visited the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ and the Church of the Nativity of Christ.
