Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol of the Cyprus Orthodox Church does not consider Epiphany Dumenko the canonical primate of the Church in Ukraine. Vladyka spoke about this in an interview with the ‘F’ edition, reports Vima Orthodoxias.
Metropolitan Athanasios noted that "he does not agree with the recognition of Epiphany as the canonical primate of the Church of Ukraine for the reasons indicated in the Holy Canons".
In addition, Vladyka said that he did not agree with the position of Archbishop Chrysostomos, who recognized Epiphanius, because this "recognition" took place without notification and the consent of the Holy Synod.
Earlier, the UOJ wrote that according to Metropolitan Athanasios of Limassol, what is related to the Tomos is not related to God.
