At a meeting of the Holy Synod of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, it was decided to prepare and publish a full Bible in the Ukrainian language, reports the Information and Education Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

"The text of the Holy Scripture in Ukrainian will be prepared by the Kyiv Theological Academy and published by the Publishing Department of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church," the statement says.

Work on a Ukrainian translation of the Bible started over 20 years ago.
