UOC has opened 10 parishes abroad since the outbreak of the war
Since the beginning of the warfare, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church has opened 10 parishes abroad given that more than seven million people have left Ukraine; the same number of parishes will be opened soon. Archpriest Nikolai Danilevich spoke about this in an interview with the UOC Information and Education Department.
“There is a clear hand of God in this work. In some countries, things are moving faster, in others slower. Somewhere there are people, but there is no priest yet, while in another country, there is a priest, but it is necessary to organize and gather people. However, the Lord helps where people themselves are active,” said Father Nikolai.
It will be recalled that the decision to establish parishes of the UOC abroad was made by the Council, which took place on May 27, 2022 (paragraph 8).
Earlier, the UOJ reported that according to the UOC spokesman, the opening of parishes abroad is necessitated by the new pastoral reality.
