Ivano-Frankivsk MP demanding Lavras be given to OCU accused of corruption
Maria Rudyk, a deputy of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council from the “Svoboda” party, who was the director of the Ivano-Frankivsk Region vocational education and training centre, purchased a 2008 Mitsubishi Outlander for UAH 213,000 and did not declare it to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, reports versii.if.ua.
During the hearing of the case, deputy Rudyk regularly failed to appear at court hearings, due to which the prosecutor's office even considered forcing the “Svoboda” deputy to appear in court.
The Ivano-Frankivsk City Court found Maria Rudyk guilty of committing an administrative offence. The deputy said that an "information war" was being waged against her.
As the “KozakTV1” Telegram channel notes, the Ivano-Frankivsk mayor Ruslan Martsynkiv, who "did not have time" to declare a new Skoda Octavia and just like Rudyk, is actively fighting the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, was charged with the same administrative offence.
On September 16, 2022, at the initiative of Maria Rudyk, Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Council deputies adopted an appeal to the VR to ban the UOC and transfer the lavras to "the Ukrainian people".
As reported, Ivano-Frankivsk mayor Ruslan Martsynkiv promised to finish off the last UOC community in the region.
