Diocese of Alaska Announces Annual St. Herman Pilgrimage
The Orthodox Diocese of Sitka and Alaska (OCA) has announced the schedule for their annual St. Herman Pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage will take place from August 7 to 9.
Thursday August 7th
6 PM: Akathist to St. Herman
Boat details will be given
Friday August 8th
8 AM: Gather for departure
Depart for Spruce Island
Hierarchical Divine Liturgy
Picnic at Monk's Lagoon
Return to Kodiak
6 PM: All-Night Vigil for Saint Herman
Saturday August 9th
9 AM: Hierarchical Divine Liturgy for Saint Herman
12 PM: Banquet at Afognak Center
6 PM: All-Night Vigil
Sunday August 10th
9am Hierarchical Divine Liturgy
All services are at Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Kodiak, Alaska, unless otherwise stated.
The announcement concludes with a quote from Saint Herman: "From this day, from this hour, from this minute, we shall strive above all else to love God and to do His Holy Will!"
