Donald Trump Extends Condolences to Victims of Terror Attack in Syria

U.S. Special Envoy Pledges Continued Support for Syrian Government Against Forces of Instability
WASHINGTON DC — U.S. President Donald Trump has extended his condolences to the victims and families affected by the recent terrorist attack on the Orthodox Church of Saint Elias in Damascus.
Tom Barrack, the U.S. Special Envoy for Syria, conveyed Trump’s message of sympathy on behalf of the American people.
On the social platform X (formerly Twitter), Barrack wrote: “On behalf of Donald Trump and the American people, we offer our condolences to the victims, their families, and all those affected by today’s terrorist attack on the Mar Elias Church in al-Duwail.”
“These horrific acts of cowardice have no place in the new fabric of integrated tolerance and inclusion that the Syrian people are building through their own efforts,” Barrack added.
He further emphasized that U.S. authorities will continue to support the Syrian government in its fight against those seeking to spread instability and fear both within the country and throughout the region.
