Serbian Diocese to Host First Iconography Camp in Pennsylvania

Weeklong October event at St. Sava Shadeland Monastery to blend sacred art, worship, and fellowship.
SPRINGBORO, PA — The Eastern American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church will hold its first-ever iconography camp October 13–18 at St. Sava Shadeland Monastery, with the blessing of Bishop Irinej.
Led by master iconographer and theologian Fr. George Popovich, the program will welcome both seasoned and emerging iconographers from across the U.S. for a week of prayer, hands-on training, and theological reflection. Participants will join in daily services, classes, and peer feedback sessions, with practical work including painting the monastery church’s altar.
