Archons Accuse the UOC of 'Targeting and Killing' Members of the OCU
The statement accuses the UOC of "targeting and killing" members of the OCU "in order to sow terror among the population."
NOVEMBER 19, 2025 — The Archons of the Ecumenical Patriarchate published a shocking statement on Wednesday, accusing members of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) of "killing" members of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine (OCU).
The statement—which was signed by the Anthony J. Limberakis, the Archons' "National Commander"—claims:
When the Ecumenical Patriarch granted autocephaly (independence) to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on January 6, 2019, a splinter group calling itself the Ukrainian Orthodox Church remained aligned with the Moscow Patriarchate. That splinter group, an arm of the Moscow Patriarchate, is now targeting and killing members of the canonical Orthodox Church in Ukraine, targeting civilians in order to sow terror among the population and make them too frightened to join the canonical Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
The UOJ has reached out to the Archons asking for evidence that members of the UOC were murdering and "terrorizing" members of the OCU. As of press time, we have received no response.
Contrary to the Archons' claims, the UOJ has provided extensive documentation that the OCU and its supporters—including Ukrainian law enforcement—assault UOC priests and laymen, arrest UOC bishops, and steal UOC churches and monasteries.
