The Miracle of Metanoia
Of all the wonders God works among us, none is greater than the turning of a human heart toward Christ.
A certain man I know, a cleric, called his wife. He was afraid because he had lost his baptismal cross, which never leaves his neck. His wife, quite a pious woman, was shocked hearing this. After twenty years of marriage, she knew what this cross meant to him. After speaking on the phone, she decided she’d do the only thing she really could, which was pray. In her home, she prayed, asking her husband’s patron saint for help. Immediately, she saw a vision of where the cross had been. It was in his office, next to a door, underneath a pile of papers and folders. She called him and told him where to look. He did—and there was his cross. It had no real reason to be there, but there it was. They both rejoiced.
And yet this isn’t the most amazing miracle I’ve heard of recently.
