Donbass bishops regained demarcation line passes
The ruling bishops of the two UOC eparchies in the Donbass may again minister freely on both sides of the demarcation line.
On December 11, 2018, Metropolitan Hilarion (Shukalo) of Donetsk and Mariupol and Metropolitan Mitrofan (Nikitin) of Gorlovka and Slaviansk were again allowed to cross the inter-boundary line between conflicting parties in Eastern Ukraine, reports the official website of the Gorlovka and Slaviansk eparchy.
Now the ruling bishops will be able to attend parishes and monasteries on both sides of the demarcation line, perform services and guide their flock.
On December 7, 2018, the SBU annulled the passes of the UOC hierarchs.
The head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration Alexander Kuts promised to solve the problem.
