Trump attends worship service in Washington before inauguration
The church where Trump prayed is known as the “Church of Presidents”.
In Washington, events leading up to the presidential inauguration began with Donald Trump and his wife attending a worship service at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Lafayette Square. The service took place prior to the inauguration, reports Strana.
The church, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is widely known as the “Church of Presidents” because every U.S. president since James Madison has prayed there.
As previously reported, Trump’s inaugural prayer will be led by a Catholic cardinal.
