St. Basil Writers’ Workshop is now accepting applications for its selective 2026–2027 nine-month program with mentorship from acclaimed instructors.

ADIRONDACK MOUNTAINS, NY — Applications are now open for the 2026–2027 St. Basil Writers’ Workshop, a selective nine-month writing program inspired by the literary vision of the Inklings. Entering its fourth season, the Workshop begins with an in-person retreat in September, followed by a series of online courses designed to foster disciplined craft, spiritual depth, and creative community.

Enrollment is limited to 10–15 students each year to ensure close mentorship and meaningful collaboration. The faculty includes acclaimed writers and scholars Paul Kingsnorth, Dcn. Nicholas Kotar, Jonathan Pageau, Katherine Bolger Hyde, Dr. Nicole Roccas, and Dr. Samira Kawash. Dcn. Nicholas Kotar serves as Dean of the program and oversees admissions.

Prospective applicants are invited to attend an online open house with Deacon Kotar on January 15 at 8 p.m. EST. Applications must be submitted by February 28, 2026, with admission decisions announced by March 31.
