New Deacons and Priests to Be Ordained at St. Anthony's Monastery
Several ordinations and clerical appointments approved by Abp. Elpidophoros will take place January 17–18 at St. Anthony’s Monastery in Arizona under Metr. Gerasimos of San Francisco.
FLORENCE, AZ — A series of clerical ordinations approved by Abp. Elpidophoros of America will take place January 17–18 at St. Anthony’s Monastery in Arizona, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America announced. The ordinations will be celebrated by Metr. Gerasimos of San Francisco.
Among those to be ordained are monk Fr. Theokletos (Serafeim Hilaneh), who will be ordained to the diaconate, and Hierodeacon Fr. Epifanios (Antonios Hilaneh) and Hierodeacon Fr. Markos (Lambros Anastasopoulos), who will be ordained to the priesthood. All three are brothers of St. Anthony’s Monastery.
The Archdiocese also approved the ordination to the diaconate of Jack McAfee of the Metropolis of San Francisco, who will be assigned to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Beaverton, Oregon, and Stavronikitas Damianakis of the Metropolis of Detroit, who will serve at Holy Trinity Cathedral in Carmel, Indiana.
In addition, Protopresbyter Fr. Theodoros Boskinis of the Church of Greece has been seconded for pastoral service in the Metropolis of Chicago.
