Holy Trinity Publications Announces English Edition of "Lives of the Saints of Rus'"
Two-volume set now available for pre-order at 15% discount.
MARCH 3, 2026 — Holy Trinity Publications has announced the upcoming release of "Lives of the Saints of Rus,'" a two-volume collection chronicling the spiritual legacy of the saints who shone forth from the lands of historic Rus’.
Originally published in France in 1977 and later expanded in Jordanville in 1983 to include the New Martyrs of Russia, the collection is now being offered for the first time in English translation. The volumes trace a millennium of sanctity beginning with the prophecy of the Apostle Andrew along the Dnieper River and continuing through the Baptism of Rus’ in 988 and the founding of the Monastery of the Kyiv Caves. Over the centuries, the region produced princes, hierarchs, missionaries, ascetics, fools-for-Christ, and countless martyrs.
The publisher is offering a 15-percent pre-order discount on both volumes until their respective publication dates. Each volume is available for $42.50 through September 3 and November 3, respectively.
The collection was compiled by Nun Taisia (Kartsova), a longtime monastic of the Holy Protection Convent in Bussy-on-Othe, France. Known affectionately as “The Russian Hagiographer,” she devoted nearly five decades to translating Orthodox texts and composing and editing the lives of the saints.
Previously, the UOJ reported that Bp. Michael celebrated his first liturgy after his consecration to the episcopacy at Jordanville.
