The Orthodox Church in America's Diocese of the Midwest launches free Small Group Clergy Retreats in 2026 to support clergy spiritual renewal and monastic immersion.

CHICAGO, IL — The OCA'S Department of Clergy Health and Family Life has announced a new initiative for 2026: Small Group Clergy Retreats, offered at no cost to diocesan clergy. Space is limited, and reservations can be made by emailing [email protected].

The retreats are scheduled across three locations: September 1–3 at Holy Dormition Monastery; October 20–22 at Holy Archangel Michael’s Skete; and November 11–13 at St. Gregory Palamas Monastery. Each retreat offers clergy an immersive experience in monastic life.

Participants will attend daily services, enjoy quiet reflection and the grounds, and engage in guided discussions based on readings from the Saints concerning priesthood and pastoral care. Opportunities will also be provided to assist the host monastery with manual labor and to converse with the monastery’s Superior.

Previously, the UOJ reported that ROCOR Southern clergy began the Great Lenten retreat in Georgia.
