Athens and Jerusalem Conference Scheduled for Nov. 21-22
A new conference delves into the Orthodox understanding of reason, revelation, and the living encounter with God — featuring Met. Jonah, Fr. Vladimir Kaydanov, Fr. Dcn. Ananias, David Patrick Harry, and Jay Dyer.
PALM COAST, FL — A new conference titled “Athens and Jerusalem” will examine the relationship between faith and philosophy from an Orthodox Christian perspective. Drawing on Tertullian’s famous question, the event will explore how the Church engages with human reason without grounding theology in philosophy, emphasizing instead the transformative experience of divine revelation in Christ.
Themed “Orthodox Art, Philosophy, and Life,” the conference will feature Met. Jonah, Fr. Vladimir Kaydanov, Fr. Dcn. Ananias Sorem, David Patrick Harry, and Jay Dyer, offering reflections on the Orthodox understanding of knowledge, revelation, and truth.
The event will be held at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Palm Coast, Fla., from Nov. 21-22. For more information and to register, visit here.
