Zelenskyy approves changes to military chaplaincy service

The Ukrainian head of state's website has published a decree on changes to chaplains’ military service.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree approving changes to the performance of military service by chaplains. The document is published on the President's official website.
According to the changes, only clergymen of a religious organization registered in Ukraine who have received a mandate from the governing centre (management) of their church for the right to perform military chaplaincy can perform military service as chaplains.
As earlier reported, the post of a Jewish chaplain appeared in the Armed Forces.
