ROCOR Consecrates New Bishop for Its Canadian Diocese
Holy Trinity Seminary celebrated its patronal feast with the consecration of Archimandrite Spyridon as Bishop of Toronto.
JORDANVILLE, NY — Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary marked its patronal feast of the Three Hierarchs with the nomination and episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Spyridon (Gusakov) as Bishop of Toronto, Vicar of the Diocese of Montreal and Canada. The nomination took place on the evening of February 11, followed by the consecration during the Divine Liturgy on the morning of February 12.
The Divine Services were led by His Eminence Nicholas, Metropolitan of New York and Eastern America. He concelebrated with His Eminence Abp. Gabriel of Montreal and Canada, His Grace Bp. Luke of Syracuse, and other hierarchs and clergy.
Clergy, faculty, students, alumni, and benefactors gathered in prayer, offering congratulations and proclaiming “Axios!” to the newly consecrated bishop as the seminary community celebrated the solemn occasion.
