Metr. Saba Calls for Compassion and Aid This Palm Sunday

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — In anticipation of Palm Sunday 2026, Metr. Saba (Isper) addressed the faithful with a heartfelt appeal for support of the Patriarchate of Antioch. In his pastoral message, he emphasized the enduring challenges faced by the Mother Church, which continues to serve communities affected by war, violence, and economic instability across the Middle East.
Metr. Saba highlighted the Patriarchate’s efforts to provide essential aid, including food, housing, medical care, education, and pastoral support, ensuring that Christian communities remain rooted in hope despite ongoing hardships. He described these ministries as vital for sustaining families, clergy, and parishes that have withstood centuries of struggle.
The archbishop called on faithful across the Archdiocese to give generously to the special Palm Sunday collection, noting that every donation strengthens the Church’s witness and expresses solidarity with suffering brothers and sisters. His message closed with prayers for a solemn Holy Week and a joyous Feast of the Resurrection.
