Orthodox Leaders Gather for Formation and Vocation Evening in Maryland
The event centers on Orthodox formation and vocation through candid discussion, fellowship, and practical ministry insight.
POTOMAC, MD — An evening program titled “Formation & Vocation: Beyond the Buzzwords” will take place Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Sts. Peter & Paul Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Potomac, Maryland, bringing together Orthodox leaders for reflection on ministry and calling.
Hosted in partnership with Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) and Orthodox Christian Mission Center, the evening will include remarks and a Q&A with Mission Center Executive Director Dr. Nathan Hoppe, Ph.D., and Dn. Marek Simon. Promotional materials ask, “What does formation really mean?” and invite participants to “Join OCMC and OCF for an evening of conversation, fellowship, and reflection with leaders in Orthodox ministry.”
Organizers note that complimentary drinks and light bites will precede the program, with registration available online, and they also encourage supporters who cannot attend in person to contribute through a donation option. Registration details are available online through the event page for interested attendees in the DC area region.
Previously, the UOJ reported that a monastic vocations gathering drew young men to St. Peter’s Monastery.
