St. Tikhon’s Monastery to Host Clergy Retreat in October
Clergy are invited to gather at St. Tikhon’s Monastery in October for a one-day retreat focused on pastoral leadership and spiritual renewal.
SOUTH CANAAN, PA — A one-day clergy retreat is scheduled for Oct. 3, 2026, at St. Tikhon’s Monastery, bringing together priests and deacons exclusively for a focused day of prayer, services, and theological instruction led by Fr. David Alexander.
The retreat, titled “Awakening, Turning and Leaping: Dynamics of Shepherding in the Hypostatic Mode,” will center on two extended teaching sessions with Fr. David. Organizers describe the program as a structured day of spiritual reflection integrated with the monastery’s regular cycle of worship, including divine services throughout the schedule.
In addition to the instructional sessions, participants will receive meals provided on site, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included. The day will also include a Vigil service at 4 p.m., followed by Divine Liturgy the following morning. Attendance is limited to clergy only, and registration is listed at $70.
The retreat is intended as a concentrated opportunity for clergy to reflect on pastoral leadership and spiritual formation within the liturgical life of the Church. Inquiries may be directed to Christopher Messenger at [email protected].
Previously, the UOJ reported that registration had opened for the first OCA-wide clergy wives retreat.
