Voice of Reason Attempts to Reboot His Career
Jurado confirmed that Jonathan Cabada (a.k.a. Roots of Orthodoxy) will continue to serve as his producer.
DECEMBER 29, 2025 — Catholic apologist Alex Jurado, also known as "Voice of Reason", is attempting to reboot his career just four months after he was exposed for sending sexually explicit messages to young fans.
On December 15, Jurado posted a video to his YouTube channel announcing the launch of his new Patreon channel.
He claimed that his spiritual father had given him permission to post content on Patreon but not YouTube.
"My spiritual father said that right now is not the time for me to make a public return," Jurado explained. "And actually, my spiritual father said that maybe I'll never come back publicly to what I was doing."
"This is my final YouTube video," he concluded.
On December 24, Jurado appeared in a YouTube short created by his longtime producer, Jonathan Cabada. Jurado was tagged under a brand-new channel, "Towards the Chalice".
During the short, Jurado said that he would rather join the Oriental Orthodox Church (Miaphysite) or the Assyrian Church of the East (Nestorian) than become Eastern Orthodox.
Cabada is best known for his own YouTube channel "Roots of Orthodoxy". Like Jurado, he is a Roman Catholic.
Two weeks ago, Cabada claimed that he was no longer working with Voice of Reason.
This was during the same stream in which he referred to Orthodox apologists as "disgusting" and "trash".
