The Povardarie Eparchy has published a new two-volume edition, Light from the West, honoring the life and teachings of influential Orthodox thinker Fr. Seraphim Rose.

KAVADARCI, NORTH MACEDONIA — Two volumes of Light from the West, a new book dedicated to the life and teaching of Fr.r Seraphim Rose, have been prepared and published with the blessing of Met. Agatangel of Povardarie. Fr. Seraphim Rose (1934–1982), an American convert to Orthodoxy and a monk of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, is widely regarded as one of the most influential Orthodox figures in the Western world. His writings and witness helped introduce Orthodox spirituality to Western audiences and inspired many to embrace a life of repentance, asceticism, and fidelity to Church tradition.

The two-volume edition is part of the publishing work of the Povardarie Eparchy’s St. George of Poloshko Press. The books were translated by Nikola Tsilakov, with linguistic editing by Priest Jani Mulev, and feature cover art and illustrations by iconographer Vladimir Simeonov.

Each volume is priced at 600 denars (approximately $11.50) and is available in churches throughout the Povardarie Eparchy or directly from the eparchial publishing house at tel. 043 221 231.

Previously, the UOJ reported that the ROCOR Synod established a commission to investigate the life of Fr. Seraphim Rose.
