Bp. Anthony Issues Paschal Message for 2026
Bp. Anthony’s Paschal message proclaims Christ’s Resurrection as the answer to fear, giving eternal meaning to human life.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Bp. Anthony of the Diocese of Los Angeles and the West has issued his Paschal message for 2026, proclaiming the centrality of Christ’s Resurrection and its transformative meaning for the faithful. Addressing clergy and laity alike, he emphasized the Resurrection as the foundation of Christian hope and life.
Reflecting on the significance of Pascha, Bp. Anthony wrote, “Jesus Christ’s Resurrection from the dead means everything,” underscoring that without it, faith and human existence lose their ultimate purpose. He contrasted the fleeting nature of worldly pursuits, which result in fear, with the eternal promise revealed through Christ’s victory over death.
Calling the faithful to renewed perspective, he declared, “Christ is Risen! All that fear folds into faith. Anxiety resolves into hopeful anticipation.” The bishop concluded with a message of hope in eternal life, reminding believers that their loved ones await them in Christ and that the Resurrection opens the path to everlasting joy.
Previously, the UOJ offered Paschal reflections in the American Midwest.
