Holy Apostles Church Honors Couple on 65th Wedding Anniversary
Holy Apostles Church honored Mitred Archpriest Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia Molodyko-Harris for 65 years of marriage and faithful service to Christ and His Church.
MECHANICSBURG, PA — Mitred Archpriest Nicholas and Matushka Anastasia Molodyko-Harris were honored at Holy Apostles Church on Sunday, September 6, marking their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on September 3, 1961, and the milestone was celebrated on the 14th Sunday after Pentecost.
Special prayers of thanksgiving were offered following the Ambo prayer by Archpriest Timothy Hojnicki, the couple’s son-in-law, who serves as Diocesan Vice-Chancellor, Dean of the Frackville Deanery, and Rector of Holy Apostles Church. During the prayers, two of the couple’s grandchildren, Nicholas Hojnicki and Kyra Hojnicki, held their wedding crowns over them.
The celebration also brought together Stephan and Margaret Pron, who had served as best man and maid of honor at the couple’s wedding 65 years ago. Their presence highlighted the many decades of relationships surrounding the couple.
Following the service, clergy, family members, friends, and parishioners gathered in the church hall for a special meal prepared in honor of the anniversary. The couple’s 65 years of marriage were celebrated as a testimony to enduring faithfulness to one another and to Christ and His Holy Church.
