Patr. Kirill Congratulates Metr. Sawa on 60 Years of Ministry
Patr. Kirill praised Metr. Sawa’s six decades of monastic and priestly service in a congratulatory message.
WARSAW, POLAND — Patr. Kirill of Moscow has sent a message of congratulations to Metr. Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland, marking the 60th anniversary of his monastic tonsure and ordination to the priesthood. The message honored the Polish Orthodox primate’s decades of faithful service and leadership within the Church.
In his address, Patr. Kirill recalled Metr. Sawa’s monastic dedication, noting that he was named in honor of St. Sava of Serbia. Citing Scripture, the Patriarch emphasized that Metr. Sawa has sought to be an example to the faithful through his words, conduct, love, and purity, strengthened by God’s grace throughout his ministry.
The Patriarch also highlighted the Metropolitan’s long pastoral experience, stating that his God-given talents continue to sustain his demanding primatial responsibilities. Concluding the message, Patr. Kirill offered prayerful wishes for peace, joy, and continued strength for Metr. Sawa in the years ahead.
