Partnership with Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry will provide religious material and education to incarcerated men and women.

ENGLEWOOD, NJ — The North American Board of Antiochian Women has announced a partnership with Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (OCPM) for its 2026-27 Act of Mercy initiative, which will provide spiritual resources to incarcerated men and women.

The annual initiative encourages Antiochian Women chapters of the diocese of North America to support humanitarian causes. Through the partnership, each chapter will help distribute newsletters, spiritual books, icons, and catechism courses to prisoners.

Suzanne Perry, the board's humanitarian coordinator, said the initiatives reflect the Christian calling to support those in prison and offer spiritual guidance to people experiencing hardship.

Citing Isaiah 42:6-7, Perry encouraged all parish chapters to participate in the effort, reflecting on the responsibility of Christians to bring light to those living in darkness.

Previously, the UOJ reported that the Antiochian Women announced the St. Simon of Cyrene Endowment Fund to assist clergy and their families.
