ROCOR to Hold Sixth Annual Youth Autumn Ball in New Jersey
ROCOR's sixth annual Youth Autumn Ball will bring together young Orthodox Christians nationwide for an evening inspired by Tchaikovsky and traditional ballroom culture.
TRENTON, NJ — The Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) will hold its sixth annual Youth Autumn Ball on November 13, 2026, bringing together young Orthodox Christians from parishes across the United States for an evening of traditional dancing, dining, and fellowship.
This year's celebration will take place at the Aurora Ballroom of the German-American Society in Trenton, a larger venue selected to accommodate the growing gathering. The event will be dedicated to Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, whose music will provide the inspiration for the evening's program. A special introduction honoring the composer is planned for the opening portion of the Ball.
The festivities will begin at 5:45 p.m. with a welcome reception, followed by an opening prayer and dinner at 7 p.m. Classical ballroom dancing, choreographed performances, competitions, and traditional games will begin at approximately 8:30 p.m. The program will also include designated intermissions and dances open to all attendees.
Organizers have established two ticket categories. Participants ages 12–34 will take part in the main youth program, including dancing and competitions, while spectators ages 21 and older will watch from the ballroom's elevated balconies. Both categories include dinner, and spectators will have opportunities to dance in designated areas and join participants during special dances open to everyone.
Guests are encouraged to incorporate floral decorations into their formal attire in recognition of Tchaikovsky's Waltz of the Flowers. The event will maintain a modest formal dress code, with accessories such as gloves and fans welcomed.
The organizers also announced additional discounts for large families and financial assistance for those who might otherwise be unable to attend.
Previously, the UOJ reported that the Greek Orthodox young adult conference returned after a 16-year hiatus.
