SHIPPENSBURG, PA — King & Saint Café is positioning itself as more than a neighborhood coffee shop, presenting what it describes as an Orthodox Christian approach to hospitality. Operating under the patronage of St. Nektarios of Aegina, the café integrates elements of faith into its atmosphere, including the display of traditional icons alongside European-inspired décor.
The café highlights its use of 100-percent organic, non-GMO ingredients and a focus on ethical sourcing. Chef Paul and his pastry team prepare baked goods from scratch daily, drawing on French culinary traditions. The business was recently nominated for Best Bakery in Franklin County, and its offerings include specialty coffee drinks, soups, grain bowls, sandwiches, croissants, quiches, seasonal desserts, and house-made syrups made without artificial additives.
According to the café, its mission is rooted in Orthodox Christianity, aiming to glorify God through service and community engagement. The interior features a fireplace, reading area, and seating designed to encourage guests to linger, reflecting what the owners describe as a faith-informed vision of hospitality.
