All Saints Foundation Begins With Nearly $5.2 Million in Gifts and Pledges

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of San Francisco has announced the public launch of the All Saints Foundation, a new permanent financial resource intended to support the Metropolis’ ministries and long-term mission across its seven-state region.

The foundation begins with nearly $5.2 million in founding gifts and multi-year pledges, including a $2 million contribution from The George and Judy Marcus Family Foundation. According to the Metropolis, the initiative is designed to provide an enduring source of financial support through long-term stewardship and continued growth.

The foundation builds on a vision associated with the late Bp. Anthony of San Francisco, who sought to establish a permanent resource for strengthening the Church for future generations. Metr. Gerasimos of San Francisco and the All Saints Foundation Board of Trustees have continued that effort, alongside a group of Founders supporting the initiative.

Metr. Gerasimos expressed gratitude to the Founders, highlighting the Marcus Family Foundation’s contribution and describing the initiative as a resource intended to strengthen the Orthodox faith and culture for generations. Byron Scordelis, president of the All Saints Foundation, likewise described the launch as the result of collaboration and a shared commitment to the future of the Metropolis.

The All Saints Foundation is an independent California nonprofit charitable public benefit corporation and tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization. It will support the ministries and mission of the Metropolis throughout its seven-state region.
