The Antiochian Village Bookstore has released a redesigned edition of its popular Orthodox prayer book with updated liturgical content and dates for Lent and Pascha through 2037.

BOLIVAR, PA — A newly designed edition of "A Pocket Prayer Book for Orthodox Christians" is now available from the Antiochian Village Bookstore, featuring an updated format and revised liturgical content.

The pocket-sized volume includes a leatherette cover, two-tone typesetting, and liturgical updates from Metr. Saba, including a fuller version of the Pre-Communion Prayers. It also includes dates for Lent and Pascha through 2037, two ribbon bookmarks, and blank space for recording commemorations of the living and departed.

The popular prayer book contains daily personal prayers for Orthodox Christians, prayers for special needs and circumstances, spiritual resources such as preparation for confession, and the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.

The bookstore has made the new edition available for online purchase through its new arrivals page. Readers can also view sample pages of the redesigned book.

Due to anticipated high demand, customers are asked to allow one to two weeks for online order processing. Parish wholesale pre-orders are shipping in the order received, and new wholesale orders will be accepted once earlier purchases have shipped.

Previously, the UOJ reported that a new Greek-English pew edition of the Divine Liturgy became available.
