JORDANVILLE, NY — Holy Trinity Monastery celebrated the Nativity of St. John the Baptist with added joy this year as the community honored the 30th anniversary of the episcopal consecration of Abp. Gabriel of Montreal and Canada. The Archbishop, a graduate of Holy Trinity Seminary, returned to the monastery to mark his jubilee together with the brotherhood and pilgrims gathered for the feast.

Over many years, he has frequently visited and supported the monastery and its educational ministry, maintaining a close relationship with the community where he received his theological training.
During the feast day services, Bp. Luke, abbot of Holy Trinity Monastery, concelebrated with Abp. Gabriel and offered prayers of thanksgiving for his decades of archpastoral service. At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, Bp. Luke presented Abp. Gabriel with an archpastoral staff, wishing him the continued assistance and intercession of St. John the Baptist as he carries out his episcopal ministry.
