Holy Trinity’s anniversary celebration brought together the Hawaiian Iveron Icon, relics of St. Basil Martysz and St. Olga of Alaska, and six catechumens preparing to enter the Orthodox Church.

RANDOLPH, NJ — Holy Trinity Orthodox Church celebrated its 62nd anniversary on Oct. 10–11, 2026, with a visit from Abp. Michael, the miraculous myrrh-streaming Hawaiian Iveron Icon of the Mother of God, and the presentation of relics of two Orthodox saints.

During Great Vespers on Saturday, Abp. Michael presented the parish and its rector, Archpriest David R. Fox, with a new Antimension containing relics of St. Basil Martysz, a Polish saint who served in America and died in 1945. St. Basil was a protégé of St. Tikhon of Moscow.

The Archbishop also presented the parish with a reliquary containing a fragment of the relics of St. Olga of Alaska, the first woman saint of North America. The relic was a gift from Abp. Alexei and the Diocese of Sitka and Alaska, honoring the saint’s quiet life of service and ministry to women.

On Sunday, a large crowd gathered to venerate the Hawaiian Iveron Icon before and after the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, followed by an Akathist service. During the Liturgy, Abp. Michael blessed six catechumens preparing to receive baptism and chrismation under Fr. David’s guidance.

Despite morning showers, worshippers continued to venerate the icon and receive anointing with its holy oil. The parish reported that the fragrance associated with the icon lingered in the church even after it departed.

Previously, the UOJ reported that the Hawaiian Iveron Icon visited Holy Trinity Cathedral in Chicago.
