St. John Camp Announces 2026 Emmaus Retreat for Oct. 10

INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The St. John Camp of Indianapolis has announced its 2026 Emmaus Retreat, a one-day gathering scheduled for Oct. 10 at Sts. Constantine and Helen Romanian Orthodox Church. The all-ages event will feature speaking sessions, fellowship, and lunch.

Archimandrite Sergius, Abbot of St. Tikhon’s Monastery in South Canaan, Pennsylvania, will serve as the retreat’s main speaker. He is also a Lecturer of Spirituality at St. Tikhon’s Orthodox Theological Seminary and will lead participants in reflections centered on his book, "Acquiring the Mind of Christ: Embracing the Vision of the Orthodox Church."

The retreat will provide an opportunity for Orthodox Christians from Indianapolis-area parishes to gather for spiritual instruction and fellowship. Organizers describe the Emmaus Retreat as a gathering open to people of all ages and from all parishes.

The program is designed to accommodate families, with child care available for children between the ages of 2 and 12. Children under 2 will be admitted free, allowing families with young children to participate in the day’s activities. The gathering is intended to bring Orthodox Christians together for a day of spiritual reflection, fellowship, and discussion centered on acquiring the mind of Christ.
