St. Tikhon’s Celebrates Ordination of Fifteen New Clergy
St. Tikhon’s Seminary celebrates a significant series of recent ordinations, highlighting its ongoing mission to form and ordain clergy.
SOUTH CANAAN, PA — St. Tikhon’s Seminary is giving thanks to God for a series of recent ordinations carried out over the past several months, during which six priests, seven deacons, and two subdeacons were ordained to sacred ministry. The ordinations, performed within the life of St. Tikhon’s, reflect the monastery’s continuing role as a center of liturgical, spiritual, and pastoral formation.
Among those ordained are three men who completed their seminary education at St. Tikhon’s Seminary, underscoring the institution’s enduring commitment to preparing clergy for service in the Church. The newly ordained priests are Fr. Paul Schlafer, Fr. Pedro Sarsamă, Fr. John Jovel, Fr. Paisios Daniels, Fr. Seraphim Crossman, and Fr. William Ryerson.
Ordained to the diaconate were Eugene Schreder, Tikhon Krueger, Nick Nunu, Porphyrios Johnson, Irenaeus Wilson, Herman Combs, and Andrew Ritchey, along with Subdns. Mathew Varughese and Jacob Kurtz. Prayers were offered that God would strengthen them and grant many years of blessed service.
