Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania Seeks Administrative Assistant

The Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to help manage its Chancery operations.

BATH, PA — The Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania is accepting applications for a part-time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of its Chancery in Bath. The position reports directly to His Eminence Abp. Mark and is intended to provide administrative and secretarial support for the Diocese's day-to-day work.

The Administrative Assistant will oversee the workflow of the Chancery, manage diocesan correspondence and records, coordinate mailings, maintain parish census and assessment information, and help prepare reports submitted to the Holy Synod of Bishops. The role also includes regular communication with clergy, parish leaders, and visitors, as well as maintaining diocesan calendars, contact lists, and records.

Additional responsibilities include organizing Diocesan Council meeting materials, assisting the chancellor and treasurer with administrative tasks, preparing the Diocese's annual Spring Report to the Holy Synod, and helping coordinate the Annual Diocesan Assembly. General office duties, including welcoming overnight guests at the Chancery, are also part of the position.

The Diocese said the part-time role requires 25 to 30 hours per week, with compensation based on experience. Church officials are encouraging qualified candidates with strong organizational skills, reliability, and a desire to serve the Church to apply. Resumes should be submitted directly to Abp.
