In Turkey, hurricane knocks down the minaret of a mosque
Winds in some regions of the country reached 118 kilometers per hour.
In the Turkish city of Çankırı, a hurricane knocked down the minaret of a mosque, as reported by the Yeni Akit publication.
After inspecting the area, the mayor of the city, Ismail Hakkı Esen, stated that the minaret had been destroyed due to strong winds.
"The other minaret also has problems, it's swaying. That's why we've taken precautionary measures," he said.
As reported by the UOJ, in 2017, a wall of a Greek Catholic school collapsed in Ivano-Frankivsk.
