A major Munich conference will mark the German Diocese’s centenary with global scholarly participation.
MUNICH — The German Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia (ROCOR) has announced an international scholarly conference titled “Legacy & Calling,” scheduled for May 6–8, 2026, to mark the centenary of the diocese. The event will be held at Blutenburg Castle, near the Monastery of St. Job of Pochaev.
The conference will gather leading historians and theologians specializing in the history of the Russian Church, offering a comprehensive reflection on the German Diocese’s historical development. More than 20 presentations are planned, with sessions conducted in Russian and German, supported by simultaneous interpretation.
Organizers confirmed that all sessions will be broadcast live via YouTube, including interpretation feeds, enabling global participation. Access to the livestream will be provided exclusively to registered participants.
Registration is required for both in-person attendance and online viewing, with limited space available on site. Early registration is strongly encouraged through the official diocesan website.
Previously, the UOJ reported that ROCOR offered a Great Lent lectionary and cue cards online.
