The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago is offering paid summer internships in communications and administration to help train the next generation of Orthodox nonprofit leaders.

CHICAGO — The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago is seeking applicants for two paid summer internship positions, offering students and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in church administration, communications, and nonprofit operations during the summer of 2026.

The Metropolis announced openings for a Communications Intern and an Administrative Operations Intern, both of which will run from July through August and require a commitment of approximately 10 to 15 hours per week. The internships include a paid stipend and are designed to provide participants with hands-on experience while supporting the ministry and administrative work of the Metropolis.

The Communications Intern will assist with projects related to communications, marketing, social media, and nonprofit ministry outreach. The position is intended for college students or recent graduates interested in developing professional experience in media and organizational communications within a faith-based setting.

Meanwhile, the Administrative Operations Intern will work directly with the Metropolis' Director of Operations, contributing to nonprofit administration, project coordination, executive support, and organizational management. According to the announcement, the internship is designed to provide practical exposure to the day-to-day operations of a major Orthodox Christian ecclesiastical organization.

Interested candidates are asked to submit a résumé and a brief statement outlining their interest and qualifications to Sandra Glisic, Director of Operations for the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago.

Previously, the UOJ reported that the Orthodox Christian Fellowship is seeking a full-time coordinator for national outreach efforts.
