Newrome Press Releases Two New Orthodox Children’s Books
Newrome Press has released two new illustrated children’s books bringing the first Pascha and six holy fools for Christ to life for young Orthodox readers.
COLUMBIA, MO — Newrome Press has published two new books for Orthodox children: "The First Pascha: Adventures with Christ" and "Delightful Grace: Volume 4," offering young readers stories drawn from the life of Christ and the lives of Orthodox saints.
"The First Pascha" combines fact and fiction through the story of Benjamin, a boy who witnesses the events of Christ’s final days, from the preparations for His entry into Jerusalem through the Last Supper and Resurrection. The 56-page book also includes hands-on activities, including coloring and action cutouts.
The fourth volume of the "Delightful Grace" series, meanwhile, contains six stories by Orthodox children’s author Anna Iakovou centered on holy fools for Christ. The 52-page, full-color volume introduces young readers to St. Sophia of Kleisoura, St. Andrew the Fool for Christ, St. Basil of Moscow, St. Maria Skobtsova of Paris, Fr. Fotis the Lavriote, and St. Serapion the Sidonite.
Both books seek to present important aspects of Orthodox Christian life through accessible stories and illustrations designed for children. The new releases expand Newrome Press’s growing collection of Orthodox books for young readers and families.
"The First Pascha: Adventures with Christ" is priced at $24, while "Delightful Grace: Volume 4" is priced at $23.
