Scholarship Launched to Honor the Legacy of the OCA's Archbishop Benjamin
Holy Trinity Cathedral invites faithful to support future Church leaders in tribute to retiring Archpastor
SAN FRANCISCO — In celebration of Archbishop Benjamin’s upcoming retirement, Holy Trinity Cathedral has announced the launch of a scholarship endowment to honor his decades of service to the Orthodox Church.
Serving the Diocese of the West since 2007—and with over 40 years in ministry—Archbishop Benjamin has been a pillar of stability and pastoral care. Now, parishioners and supporters are invited to mark this milestone with a gift that looks to the future: a scholarship fund for seminarians, choir directors, and church educators.
“Our goal is twofold,” wrote Archpriest Kirill Sokolov, diocesan chancellor. “To honor the Archbishop’s faithful ministry and to invest in the next generation of Church leaders.”
The cathedral aims to raise at least $25,000 by June 29, when a retirement dinner will be held in Santa Rosa. Funds will be permanently endowed, with earnings supporting seminarians for years to come. Contributions of all sizes are welcome, reflecting the Archbishop’s lifelong service to all in the Body of Christ.
