Romanian Episcopate Releases Second Edition of Bilingual Akathist to St. Olga of Alaska

GRASS LAKE, MI — The Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) has released a revised bilingual prayer booklet dedicated to St. Olga of Alaska, making devotional materials honoring the newly glorified saint available in both English and Romanian.

Issued with the blessing of Abp. Nathaniel, the second edition contains the Akathist to St. Olga alongside a concise account of her life. The publication draws on materials originally developed by Abp. Alexei of Sitka and Alaska, while the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate's Department of Publications prepared the Romanian translation and updated the English text.

The new edition comes as devotion to St. Olga continues to spread among Orthodox Christians across North America. Revered for her compassionate ministry to women, families, and those enduring hardship, she has become an increasingly popular figure of prayer and intercession.

Produced in Canada, the booklet features an icon of St. Olga and is intended for use in parishes, private prayer, and educational settings. Copies are available through the Chancery of the Romanian Episcopate.
